- Today, Beckers is
beginning a transition as we hold a huge “Retirement Sale”
for Victoria Becker, who is moving on to a new and different
career. Rick Becker, her brother, who has been in the
business almost continuously since 1969, will continue to
run the store in a familiar way. We will continue to focus
our product line and sharpen our niche in the Rochester
landscape.

- While we are happy
to sell most pieces directly from the showroom floor, we
will continue to expand our special order business from the
vast collections of the manufacturers we represent. Rick
travels to the International Home Furnishing show in High
Point, North Carolina, twice a year, where he sits on
hundreds of sofas and visits 60-80 showrooms. He examines
new product offerings of the manufacturers we represent and
window-shops hundreds of manufacturers to scout out new
resources.

- Beckers Furniture
has enormous fabric selections from the upholstery
manufacturers we carry. We will continue to focus heavily
on upholstery with significant (but not exclusive) emphasis
on our newly organized Flexsteel Studio Gallery. We
encourage you to bring in samples of your rugs, wallpaper,
paint and drapery to help you in selecting the perfect
upholstery combinations for your home.
